[edit] WP2 Survey Presentation

This page describes how the survey will be presented to the respondents. It is important for survey coordinators to be aware of this and to use the survey and collector options listed here so that the different language versions are consistent with each other.

[edit] Survey Design

Please use the "EUAsiagrid" style. This can be set on the first page of the survey under "To change the look of your survey...".

[edit] Survey Options

Please set the survey options as follows:

  • Use Page Numbering
  • Use Question Numbering (over entire survey)
  • Please use the EUAsiaGrid logo as in the English version
  • Show progress bar at bottom of page (pages complete)
  • Do not show survey title
  • Show page titles
  • Navigation buttons: country specific, hide exit link
  • Use asterisk to highlight required questions (but I don't think we have any?)

[edit] Collectors

In order for the survey to collect responses, you also need to create a "collector". If you think of the survey itself as just the questionnaire, then the collector is the actual data collection, of which there might be many. We will only need one though. Please create one with the following settings:

  • Allow multiple responses per computer
  • Allow responses to be edited (when respondents use their browser buttons or the navigation options in the survey they can edit their responses)
  • Do not display a 'thank you' page - this is what we have the "landing page" for
  • Redirect to your own webpage: this needs to point to the "landing page" on the EUAsiaGrid website at http://www.euasiagrid.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=86&Itemid=114
  • Save the respondent's IP address (this may be useful in tracking but we do not make use of this directly)
